United Manufacturing Hub (UMH) is an industrial data platform and IIoT software provider that standardizes, models, and distributes manufacturing data across sites and systems to enable industrial AI, operational visibility, and integrations with ERP and analytics. The platform uses an open-source, event-driven architecture (Apache 2. 0 core) to collect edge data from machines and protocols, create a Unified Namespace using ISA-95 semantic models, and distribute structured data to cloud, analytics, and AI systems. UMH targets enterprise manufacturers and emphasizes on-premise data sovereignty, enterprise-grade security and compliance, rapid ROI, and scalable deployment for use cases such as OEE, energy management, condition monitoring, and industrial AI.

📋 Description

• Deploy and integrate real systems - connecting PLCs, sensors, and data pipelines that help factories run more efficiently and reliably • Consult customers on how to generate business value, by designing use cases, implementing and capturing tangible value with them • Shape the product from the field, feeding back real-world learnings to make UMH more scalable, robust, and developer-friendly • Debug, optimize, and automate data flows across MQTT, Kafka (Redpanda), Docker, Benthos, and Grafana - and document patterns others can build on • Work closely with the Product Engineering team to prototype new features, test deployments, and continuously improve the UMH stack

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on experience with OT or IT systems - PLCs, sensors, message brokers, containerized applications, or industrial protocols • The ability to communicate clearly with customers, build trust quickly, and act as a reliable technical advisor • You can translate messy customer problems into clean technical solutions • You’re comfortable being the technical face of a product - part engineer, part consultant, part teacher - who thrives in high-velocity, high-accountability environments • You have a strong bias for learning and self-reliance - you don’t need much structure, but you can build it when it’s missing • Fluency in German and English
