📋 Description

• Lead and scale Oura’s retail business across APAC • Define and own the APAC retail vision, strategy, and annual operating plan • Evaluate and prioritize market entry opportunities across direct retail, wholesale, travel retail, and digital-to-physical formats • Lead market entry timing and operating model decisions for China and India • Build commercial architecture covering pricing, channel segmentation, promotional frameworks, and trade investment • Translate global brand positioning into locally resonant retail execution • Own regional P&L and deliver revenue, margin, and market share targets • Manage C-suite relationships with strategic retailers, distributors, marketplace platforms, and operators/carriers • Negotiate major retail agreements, trading terms, and joint business plans • Manage distributor performance and transitions to direct-to-retailer models • Set standards for in-store execution, visual merchandising, retail training, and 3PL logistics • Build the APAC retail team and organization across cultures and countries • Develop leadership succession plans and hold leaders accountable for performance and team health • Own the APAC retail budget and deliver forecasting and business reporting • Partner with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Marketing to drive operational excellence and business change • Represent Oura with partners, media, and industry bodies

🎯 Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive retail and commercial experience in consumer products and physical goods • 8+ years in senior leadership roles • Hands-on experience running physical retail channels, including sell-in and sell-through, fixtures and in-store execution, inventory, and retailer joint business planning • Direct operating experience across most of Japan, South Korea, China, India, and Southeast Asia; ANZ experience is a plus but not required • Proven track record of scaling a consumer brand through APAC retail with full retail P&L accountability • Deep, current knowledge of major regional retailers, distributors, and marketplace platforms • Experience selecting, contracting, and managing distributors, including transitioning to a direct-to-retailer model • Entrepreneurial operating experience building structure from scratch with lean resources • Experience setting regional retail strategy and influencing senior stakeholders across a global organisation • Demonstrated ability to build teams from scratch across cultures and countries • Senior-level relationships with retailers and distributors and experience negotiating major retail agreements • Executive presence to influence senior stakeholders and represent Oura with senior retailers and distributors • Fluency in English required • Proficiency in Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean is a strong advantage
