📋 Description

• Own and deliver end-to-end management reporting, including P&L, Cash Flow Statement, Balance Sheet, plan-vs-actual analysis, and profitability analysis • Build and maintain the budgeting cycle, payment calendar, cash-flow forecast, gap analysis, scenario planning, and obligation tracking • Design and run the financial control framework, including reconciliations, mismatch classification, SLA-driven resolution, approval flows, and audit trails • Manage merchant settlements, including settlement calculations, provider fees, minimum fees, surcharges, refunds, chargebacks, FX conversions, and balance transfers • Oversee multi-entity finance across legal entities, currencies, and intercompany transactions • Prepare data for statutory accounting and external audits • Own financial automation by defining financial logic, KPIs, data sources, requirements, and acceptance criteria for dashboards and reports • Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Engineers, Development teams, and Treasury • Lead and develop the Finance team by hiring, structuring roles, assigning accountability, and driving continuous improvement • Report financial results and insights to the CEO and founders • Within six months, establish Finance department structure, automate P&L reporting, implement cash-flow forecasting, improve merchant settlement monitoring, and clarify Finance, Treasury, and Data team responsibilities

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in finance • At least 3 years managing a finance team or function • Background in fintech, payments/PSP, acquiring, EMI, banking, crypto payments, or another high-volume transactional business • Proven experience building or transforming financial processes and moving from manual Excel-based reporting to automated pipelines • Experience managing multiple legal entities, currencies, and intercompany operations • Hands-on ownership of P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet, and plan-vs-actual reporting • Ability to define financial metrics and standard calculation formulas and build unit economics • Profitability analysis by product, client, channel, or business line • Experience presenting financial results to C-level executives and board members • Deep understanding of money flow in a payment business • Experience with settlement cycles, provider fees, processing and clearing costs, refunds, chargebacks, FX conversions, and balance transfers • Ability to trace financial results from a single transaction to the consolidated P&L • Practical experience organizing regular reconciliations across internal data, PSPs, banks, obligations, and actual payouts • Ability to classify discrepancies, set thresholds, assign ownership, define SLAs, and build resolution processes • Experience with audit trails, separation of duties, and control of manual adjustments • Ability to formalize financial business logic and define formulas, data sources, and acceptance criteria for reports and dashboards • Experience setting requirements for Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and Development teams • Ability to validate calculations, detect discrepancies between dashboards and source data, and prioritize automation by business impact • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets and experience building financial models • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Grafana, Looker Studio, or similar • Comfortable working with large data volumes • English B2+ (Upper-Intermediate or higher) • Nice to have: crypto payments experience, SQL, BigQuery or other DWH, ERP/reconciliation/treasury management systems, international company experience, European PSP/EMI/bank experience, finance department buildout or transformation, external audit experience, and remote team management experience
