📋 Description
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, client MSAs/SOWs, NDAs, partnership agreements, and reseller agreements • Advise on corporate structuring and governance across Uvation's multi-entity setup • Manage regulatory compliance across jurisdictions, including GDPR, UAE data protection law, employment law, and sector-specific technology/infrastructure compliance • Support contractor and employment agreements in coordination with HR, including cross-border contractor arrangements and worker classification risk • Advise on and manage vendor/supplier disputes, invoice discrepancies, and contractual escalations • Support fundraising, investment, or M&A-related legal work as required • Liaise with external counsel where local representation is required • Maintain corporate records, board resolutions, and statutory filings across entities • Proactively flag legal and regulatory risk to leadership
🎯 Requirements
• Law degree • Active bar admission/license in UAE and/or a European jurisdiction • Minimum 5–8 years of corporate/commercial legal experience • Experience ideally in-house or with a corporate law firm serving technology/infrastructure clients • Demonstrated experience with cross-border contracts and multi-jurisdictional compliance • Working knowledge of GDPR and UAE data protection frameworks • Experience advising on contractor-versus-employee classification issues across jurisdictions • Prior technology, cloud infrastructure, or AI/GPU industry experience preferred • Experience working with Deel or similar EOR/contractor management platforms preferred • Ability to operate autonomously across jurisdictions with limited local precedent • Ability to flag risk early and communicate it in plain language
