📋 Description
• Own the stability of a system where millions of users post within the same two minutes, every day • Run 12 squads across three codebases: release discipline, feature flags, platform, developer experience • Own infrastructure cost as a P&L line: GCP, Cloud Spanner, media delivery at scale • Complete our Node.js to Go migration without slowing delivery • Hire exceptional engineers, develop them, and hold the bar high • Set technical strategy with the CEO and product leadership
🎯 Requirements
• 12+ years in engineering, 6+ leading leaders, in organizations of 80–200+ engineers • You scaled a high-traffic consumer product or comparable high-throughput infrastructure • Architect-level depth: you hold your own with staff engineers on distributed-systems trade-offs. No coding test. • You have built regression-prevention systems for many teams shipping in parallel • You lead distributed teams through clear writing, metrics, and fast async decisions • A plus: consumer social, camera or media products, native mobile organizations
