📋 Description

• Delivering practical, job-relevant training on CAD systems, Generative Design, and the professional use of AI in engineering • Supporting mechanical engineering professionals on their path toward modern digital product development • Helping participants complete design tasks more efficiently with AI assistance • Teaching the effective and appropriate use of generative AI tools • Guiding participants in the critical evaluation of AI-generated technical solutions • Optimizing modern CAD and engineering workflows • Supporting the responsible and cost-effective integration of AI into everyday professional work • Guiding participants through the digital engineering process—from the design task and AI-supported analysis through generative variant development, technical evaluation and optimization, documentation, and practical implementation • Enabling participants to use new technologies thoughtfully and successfully

🎯 Requirements

• University degree or technical training in mechanical engineering, product development, design engineering, or a comparable field • At least 5 years of professional experience in design engineering, product development, or CAD engineering • Excellent knowledge of at least one professional CAD system, such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, CATIA, or Fusion • Practical experience with parametric design and modern CAD workflows • In-depth knowledge of current AI applications in engineering and CAD • Proven experience using generative AI solutions productively, such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Gemini, or comparable systems • Experience with AI-assisted features in modern CAD systems, such as Generative Design or automated optimization • Ability to evaluate AI-generated results on a sound technical basis and critically challenge them • Strong understanding of the opportunities, limitations, risks, and quality requirements associated with generative AI • Experience delivering technical training to adults or comparable training experience • Ideally, experience with Generative Design and topology optimization • Knowledge of current developments in AI for engineering • Experience analyzing and optimizing design processes • Knowledge of parametric modeling and automated variant generation • Experience with prompt engineering for technical applications • Expertise in integrating AI into existing engineering workflows • Experience evaluating the technical feasibility, manufacturability, and functionality of AI-generated solutions • Knowledge of data protection, copyright, and responsible AI use in a corporate environment • Experience in coaching, project work, or practice-oriented knowledge transfer • Preferred: Experience with Autodesk Fusion Generative Design or comparable solutions • Preferred: Knowledge of Autodesk AI, SolidWorks AI, CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE AI, or similar platforms • Preferred: Experience with BIM-based AI applications • Preferred: Knowledge of Dynamo, Grasshopper, or other visual scripting solutions • Preferred: Experience with automation tools such as Python, Power Automate, or n8n • Preferred: Knowledge of digital product development, such as Digital Twins, PLM, or simulation • Preferred: Experience with AI-assisted documentation and knowledge management • Preferred: Knowledge of modern cloud CAD systems • Preferred: AEVO certification or comparable educational qualification • Several years of practical experience as a design engineer or development engineer in mechanical engineering • Active use of modern AI tools in day-to-day engineering work
