📋 Description

• Build and run a self-service Observability-as-a-Service platform for the engineering organization • Create Golden Paths and defaults that let developers instrument code quickly without operating observability infrastructure • Design and evolve cloud-native platform components on Kubernetes and AWS • Build abstractions such as defaults, templates, CLIs, and operators for teams to manage their own observability • Investigate and resolve cost, reliability, and developer-experience problems at the platform level • Set platform standards and guidelines and document them through RFCs • Review the current platform, identify issues, propose improvements, and help evolve solutions • Collaborate on designs, review proposals, and mentor engineers as a technical reference • Build and maintain reliable Kubernetes and AWS foundations as the company scales

🎯 Requirements

• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and its ecosystem from running real clusters • Excellent communication skills in English and Portuguese • Proficiency with AWS, GCP, or Azure in production, including networking, IAM, cost, and failure modes • Strong software engineering skills; ability to write code to remove manual work and build tools for engineers • Experience in platform engineering, SRE, or infrastructure in a company where many teams depend on the work • Experience using observability in production, including metrics, logs, or traces • Ability to question problems before designing solutions • Ability to compare options and choose based on rationale • Ability to explain technical trade-offs to different audiences and share knowledge • Fluent spoken and written English and Portuguese • Prior experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Software Engineering, and Observability Practices with open source solutions is mandatory • Bonus: hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Loki, Tempo, or similar open source tools • Bonus: experience building internal tools, CLIs, or Kubernetes operators; Crossplane experience • Bonus: service mesh knowledge such as Istio or Linkerd • Bonus: cost optimization or FinOps experience • Bonus: CNCF certifications such as CKA, CKS, CKAD, PCA, or OTCA
