📋 Description

• Perform LQA reviews according to quality guidelines and production timelines • Handle arbitrations and drive linguistic consensus • Perform glossary and translation memory updates in the Smartling environment • Handle client review feedback exchange and implementation • Process linguistic feedback from QA testing and implement changes • Provide linguistic and cultural consultation to clients • Liaise with Language Specialists and translation teams to share constructive feedback and drive language quality improvement • Liaise with client stakeholders to discuss linguistic matters and provide clear, substantiated consultation • Maintain reference materials, training documentation, and meeting notes • Answer linguistic queries according to query management processes • Monitor language quality through LQA reports, address issues, and flag quality risks • Work on internal and external root-cause analyses and quality improvement plans • Assess and suggest asset improvements considering end-user impact and time and cost • Prioritize and track quality management tasks based on urgency, impact, and client needs • Oversee linguistic tasks, manage quality assurance, and provide mentorship to linguists

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation Studies, Language Arts, or a related field • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in translation, localization, or linguistic services • At least 2 years of experience as a Language Lead or in a Senior Linguist position • Native or near-native proficiency in Urdu-Pakistan • Excellent command of English (additional language proficiency is a plus) • Familiarity with translation and localization tools, including CAT tools and TMS systems • Strong knowledge of linguistic quality assurance processes • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and leadership abilities • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment • Flexibility to work on any type of content, including sensitive content, music, video, genre, and domain • Experience working in the localization/translation industry for a global Music Service provider is preferred • Knowledge of Pakistani cultural and regional linguistic nuances is preferred • Certification in translation or localization tools is an advantage
