📋 Description

• Build and scale backend services for a tech-enabled home-services marketplace • Own the matching and bidding engine, including ranking, professional scoring, and Extra Bids • Develop and maintain payment, subscription, cashback, bonus, promotional-code, VAT, Stripe, and Softone ERP integrations • Help operate and improve a fast, zero-downtime platform on Kubernetes • Work on trust and safety, experimentation, Salesforce/CRM integrations, and AI systems using FastAPI, LangGraph, and pgvector • Ship continuously through GitLab CI, ArgoCD, and Argo Rollouts • Own features end-to-end from design through building, testing, and monitoring • Make technical decisions, participate in code reviews, refactor systems, pair, document work, and collaborate across disciplines • Lead projects, set technical direction, review code, and mentor engineers • Investigate production incidents, legacy systems, and customer issues

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years building and scaling production backend services, with strong Python / Django and REST API depth • Designed systems, including defining service and API boundaries and evaluating architectural trade-offs • PostgreSQL depth at scale, including data modeling, query optimization, indexing, and concurrency correctness • Asynchronous / distributed systems experience, including background processing and queues such as Celery • Production ownership, observability, live-incident debugging, and testing • Experience leading projects end-to-end and mentoring engineers • Docker and Kubernetes experience • Experience with a major cloud, AWS preferred • CI/CD experience • Excellent English • Interest in joining a remote, multicultural team • Bonus: Terraform, FastAPI, LLM and agentic experience, LangChain, LangGraph, RAG, pgvector, payments/fintech or marketplace background, startup or high-performance-team environment
