📋 Description

• Own the technical direction and architecture of squad products from early experiments through production. • Write code, review pull requests, and build core components alongside the team. • Design services running on GCP serverless infrastructure, including Cloud Run, and use GCP managed services. • Integrate new products with the client's microservices landscape and remaining monolith. • Guide and support engineers of mixed seniority. • Set technical standards and good engineering practices. • Collaborate with the Product Manager and UX Designer to turn ideas into technically sound, testable products. • Help build AI-powered features responsibly while balancing experimentation speed with reliability and security.

🎯 Requirements

• 7 years of backend engineering experience, with deep, hands-on expertise in Java. • Strong experience with Spring and/or Dropwizard frameworks. • Proven experience designing and running microservices architectures. • Comfort working alongside legacy/monolithic systems. • Experience with MySQL and MongoDB. • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, ideally Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Firestore, and Cloud Armor. • Strong experience on another major cloud may be considered. • Significant experience building AI-powered products. • Previous experience as a Tech Lead or Architect while remaining hands-on. • Familiarity with React, Next.js, Node.js, GraphQL, and the BFF pattern is nice to have. • Exposure to Flutter/Dart mobile development is nice to have. • Experience setting up a new team or product from scratch is nice to have.
