📋 Description

• Provide one-on-one consultation, education, training, and information and referral services for the Work and Family Life Program • Conduct in-person and virtual workshops for service members and families • Provide one-on-one consultations across Work and Family Life Program areas • Deliver location-specific information and referral services in person or virtually • Support disaster preparedness and crisis response worldwide • Provide support aboard Navy ships for shipboard events and Return and Reunions • Record information and referral, consultation, and group education services in the government system of record • Use collaboration platforms, video conferencing software, project management tools, and other technology for virtual service delivery • Perform basic technology troubleshooting • Cross-train and support additional program areas • Support marketing and outreach initiatives • Collaborate with FFSP stakeholders to plan, schedule, and execute training services • Travel up to 50% during specified periods and potentially for up to six months to provide in-person support worldwide and aboard Navy ships • No supervisory responsibilities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in social science or related behavioral science field, or equivalent combination of social science education and experience, or four years’ equivalent experience • Experience making presentations and facilitating training for large and small groups in person and through online platforms • Experience using digital technology to facilitate virtual training • General knowledge of FFSP programs and experience in one or more program areas: Deployment and Mobilization Support, Ombudsman Training and Support, Relocation Assistance, Life Skills Education, Transition Assistance, or Family Employment Readiness • Strong technical acumen with collaboration platforms, video conferencing software, project management tools, Outlook, Teams, custom databases, and computer/AV equipment • Knowledge of needs assessment tools and surveys • Knowledge of the military and challenges of military lifestyle • Knowledge of social services and community resources • Knowledge of adult education principles and training curricula development based on the adult learning model • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to prepare management reports • Ability to meet naval shipboard physical requirements • U.S. citizenship • Valid driver's license, passport, transportation, and auto insurance • Ability to obtain medical and dental health screenings for travel to remote locations • Ability to carry and transport up to 25 pounds for extended periods • Quiet workspace with stable internet connection when not traveling
