• Perform comprehensive technical audits, field assessments, and condition evaluations of industrial equipment and facility components. • Observe, test, evaluate, and document equipment operation and system performance. • Assess material handling and conveyance systems against design drawings, specifications, operational requirements, and industry standards. • Conduct electrical data collection, including arc flash information gathering, equipment identification, nameplate verification, electrical ratings, and system documentation. • Evaluate electrical infrastructure and equipment up to 480 volts. • Assess industrial mechanical systems, equipment components, and operational processes. • Review CMMS records, maintenance history, work orders, asset documentation, preventative maintenance programs, BAS controls systems, and operational data. • Interpret architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings, equipment documentation, inspection reports, certificates of occupancy, warranty information, and maintenance records. • Interview facility personnel, contractors, vendors, and clients to gather operational insights and validate findings. • Document field observations through notes, photographs, equipment data collection, and electronic reporting platforms. • Prepare detailed technical reports summarizing equipment conditions, deficiencies, trends, findings, and recommendations. • Coordinate onsite activities with commissioning technicians, contractors, controls vendors, and facility operations teams. • Communicate technical findings, corrective actions, testing requirements, project updates, and potential issues. • Maintain communication with Lead and Senior Project Managers regarding project status, site access, schedule impacts, risks, and concerns. • Travel to client/project sites across the U.S., approximately 75% of the time, including possible night shifts and weekend assignments.
• High school diploma or GED required • Technical degree, trade school diploma, vocational training, or associate degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial maintenance, or a related discipline preferred • Journeyman credentials in mechanical or electrical disciplines preferred • Five or more years of equipment maintenance or commercial, institutional, and industrial building inspection experience desired but not required • Experience in electrical, mechanical, controls, or material handling systems strongly preferred • Valid driver’s license required, with a clean driving record and no significant MVA points or violations • Industry-recognized certifications, active pursuit of certification, or equivalent professional credentialing such as CxA, CCP, BCxP, CEM, NICET, NFPA-related certifications, or relevant active trade licensure • Previously certified as a Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) per NFPA 70E and OSHA standards • Experience performing electrical work requiring arc flash PPE and electrical safety procedures • Experience with Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures involving multiple energy systems • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting material handling equipment, including preventative maintenance • Experience with electrical infrastructure installation, maintenance, replacement, upgrades, and repairs up to 480 volts • Experience using CMMS systems for asset management, maintenance documentation, and work order tracking • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred • Experience operating lifts and following fall protection procedures preferred • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards, NFPA 70E requirements, LOTO procedures, PPE requirements, and electrical safety practices • Ability to understand and evaluate industrial electrical, mechanical, controls, and material handling systems • Ability to interpret technical documentation, drawings, specifications, and industry standards • Proficiency operating computers, tablets, and electronic data collection tools • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel • Ability to work safely in industrial environments with energized equipment and mechanical systems • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate with clients, contractors, facility personnel, and project teams • Ability to meet physical demands and travel requirements • Must have a cell phone and supply your own internet service • Ability to travel by plane, motor vehicle, and train • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including night shifts and weekend assignments
