Beschreibung

• Provide in-person and telephonic Medical Case Management • Work closely with injured workers to facilitate recovery • Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, healthcare providers, employers, referral sources, attorneys, advisors/clients, and coworkers • Manage a caseload of workers’ compensation injured workers within a defined jurisdiction • Discuss current and alternate treatment plans with physicians • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient progress • Evaluate treatment plans for appropriateness, medical necessity, and cost effectiveness • Attend doctors’, providers’, home, attorney, hospital, and long-term facility visits or conferences • Determine appropriateness of care and develop long-term care strategies • Negotiate delivery of durable medical equipment and nursing services • Travel locally up to approximately 60% of the work week/month • Perform additional duties as required

🎯 Anforderungen

• Must be a registered nurse • Must reside in the Tacoma/Olympia area of Washington • Reliable transportation • Experience as an RN Medical Case Manager is ideal • Clinical background in orthopedics, neurology, or rehabilitation is preferred • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing • Current RN Licensure in state of operation • Certification as a CCM, CIRS, or other Case Management certifications preferred • Valid driver’s license • Ability to travel to assigned locations • Effective communication and multi-tasking skills in a high-volume, fast-paced, team-oriented environment • Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office, including Excel spreadsheets • Ability to work independently and within a team environment • Cost containment background, such as utilization review or managed care, is helpful
