Beschreibung

• Execute assignments according to GE EHS and Quality requirements • Complete pre-job planning and post-job reporting • Prepare machines and tooling, order parts and supplies, and prepare/review EHS Safety Plans and Quality Plans • Lead turbine alignment projects using Faro Laser or optical precision measurement methods • Analyze and interpret measurement data and recommend/manage equipment casing and bearing moves • Independently complete On-Site Machining service assignments • Perform turbine rotor machining, turbine casing machining repairs, and valve seat retrofits • Provide progress updates to the OSS Service Manager and project customer team • Provide technical direction to personnel working at customer sites • Guide crew duties and assignments to complete projects safely, on schedule, and with quality results • Support OSS Supervisors on large repair and machining projects • Develop innovative service offerings and deliver training to the broader OSS team • Drive safety, quality, and customer-centric culture onsite • Complete safety observations, quality documents, daily turnover logs, and customer final reports • Mentor and develop OSS technicians on the job • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s Degree or HS Diploma with 4yrs+ of equivalent industry experience • Minimum 3 years of experience in gas or steam turbine technologies • Ability and willingness to travel significantly with no restrictions, domestically and internationally • Ability and willingness to work overtime and 2nd shift • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen • Personal commitment to environmental health and safety • Deep commitment to integrity • Qualified to operate Faro Laser or equivalent equipment • Extensive experience/expertise repairing and machining power-generation turbine equipment • Ability to gain access to and work in nuclear power plants, maritime facilities, and countries other than the United States • Minimum 10 years of Field Service or factory machining repair experience • Experience developing work instructions and leading an hourly union workforce • Ability to communicate with and earn and maintain customer respect • Experience with portable machining repairs and interpreting drawings and specifications • Curiosity and willingness to propose improvements, new ideas, and technical instructions • Excellent written and verbal customer-facing communication skills
