Beschreibung

• Lead and coordinate all technical aspects of AC power substation projects • Perform detailed substation design work across the full HV/EHV scope • Lead and coordinate the multi-discipline technical project team, engineers, designers, contractors, and subcontracted resources • Serve as primary technical lead for scheduling, standards and specifications compliance, value engineering, design review planning, and quality assurance and control • Develop and oversee power single-line diagrams • Develop and oversee general substation arrangement drawings, including layouts, elevations, grounding, conduit/trench, cable routing, detail drawings, and control building layouts • Develop and oversee high-voltage bus, structures, equipment, and detailed arrangements • Act as the single point of contact for technical matters between customers, vendors, project managers, and engineering teams • Drive cross-discipline coordination to deliver integrated substation solutions • Review and contribute to conceptual engineering, proposal documentation, BOMs, technical specifications, sourcing support, vendor quotation evaluations, and technical clarifications and assumptions • Lead preparation of high-voltage equipment specifications and contractor work scopes • Support vendor engagement and equipment selection • Lead subcontracted design work scopes as needed • Assist the manager in ensuring team productivity and billable utilization • Ensure engineering outputs meet customer Critical to Quality requirements and are delivered on time and within budget • Coordinate with the Project Manager on schedule and budget • Support commissioning and interfaces between customers and project stakeholders

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited university, or a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience • Minimum of 12 years of experience in industrial or utility High Voltage (+138kV) substation design, or 10+ years with a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%, including internationally, in compliance with company travel and tax policies • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the U.S. in good standing, with ability to get licensure in other states (desired) • Experience with EHV substation design standards • Expertise in transmission and distribution substation engineering for utility and renewable energy projects • Expertise in primary outdoor substation design, calculations, and electrical protection • Experience with industrial power system design at 12.5 kV and above • Proficiency in battery sizing, DC system design, and AC auxiliary power calculations • Proficiency in power transformer and circuit breaker selection • Proficiency in conductor sizing and application • Proficiency in grounding, lightning protection, and insulation coordination • Knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, NEC, and NESC standards • Field-testing and commissioning experience, with strong emphasis on safety • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills • Excellent customer-facing communication and commercial awareness, including change orders and project delivery • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and design automation tools • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
