Beschreibung

• Develop and maintain web-based applications and systems using modern technologies • Engineer solutions with small, feature-focused teams • Mentor team members and junior/mid-level developers • Collaborate with data scientists, DevSecOps engineers, product designers, and other staff • Contribute to the Agile development process • Perform code reviews and provide feedback to maintain codebase and product quality • Work with front-end and back-end systems, including React and Express.js services • Define database migrations, write queries, mutations, and resolvers, and connect backend services to external APIs • Develop solutions for clients in the U.S. Department of Defense, Department of State, and national security community

🎯 Anforderungen

• Must be a US Citizen eligible for a DoD Secret clearance • Associates degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and/or equivalent experience in industry as Software Engineer • Strong fundamental programming skills • Familiarity with SOLID design principles • Ability to read and understand unfamiliar code quickly • Ability to write excellent, readable code and tests • Senior-level proficiency with React frontend application development, including functional components, hooks, state management, component and rendering lifecycles, CSS-in-JS styling, and component-driven development • Senior-level proficiency with Express.js, GraphQL, REST, and at least one ORM (Drizzle, TypeORM, Knex, or Sequelize) • Comfortable defining database migrations, writing queries, mutations, and resolvers, and connecting Express.js services to external APIs • Senior-level experience with TypeScript, including utility types, interfaces, and compile-time versus runtime typing • Proficiency with Git VCS and GitFlow, including branching, merging, release candidates, and hotfixes • Ability to perform thorough code reviews and mentor junior and mid-level developers • Active Secret clearance is optional • Residence or willingness to relocate to the DC area and work hybrid on-site is optional • Preferred: Familiarity with Agile, particularly Scrum • Preferred: Familiarity with real-time geospatial data visualization and streaming technologies • Preferred: Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL and PostGIS • Preferred: Spectrum or RF engineering experience, undergraduate-level physics, or demonstrated ability to learn complex technical domains quickly • Preferred: Experience collaborating with product design teams, data scientists/engineers, ISSOs, and government stakeholders • Preferred: AWS Cloud Developer-level experience, CI/CD, containers, networking, managed services, and high-security production environments
