Beschreibung

• Provide nutritional planning, counseling, and documentation guided by evidence-based peer-reviewed literature • Advise the chain of command on nutrition and performance nutrition issues • Design and implement performance nutrition programs for special operations forces personnel in garrison, TAD/TDY, and deployed settings • Develop nutritional protocols and guidelines for rehabilitation and performance • Collaborate with the HP Program Manager and/or Coordinator to implement protocols and guidelines • Advise dining facility and/or galley nutrition and act as liaison between food service and command • Provide individual and group counseling on performance nutrition • Advise on supplementary nutrition, supplements, and performance-enhancing substances • Maintain educational materials, sports nutrition supplies, equipment, facilities, and records • Attend meetings, required training, in-service training, conferences, and courses • Perform administrative duties, workload records, education programs, quality assurance functions, and peer reviews • Develop and promulgate training materials • Document work, utilization, encounters, referrals, and other information in military electronic health records and HP databases • Collect and report data requested by HP management and USSOCOM HQ/POTFF staff • Utilize computers, software, and technologies as required • Perform other duties within the scope of the position as assigned

🎯 Anforderungen

• US citizenship required • Secret clearance required or ability to obtain one • Master’s-level degree in Nutrition Science or related field • American Dietetic Association Registered Dietitian (RD) certification • Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) certification; may be waived if other qualifications are met, but should be earned within six months • Current and valid state certification/licensure • May be required to receive and maintain clinical practice privileges • Minimum 3 years of demonstrable accumulated experience as a Performance Dietitian with individual and group athletes at NCAA Collegiate, Olympic, professional, and/or SOF Operator levels • Recent continuous embedded on-site Government civilian or contract experience at U.S. Army and/or Marine Corps Infantry Units may count toward minimum qualifications • Fluent oral and written English communication skills • Ability to meet physical demands of SOF training, including hiking over rough terrain and functioning in austere environments • Ability to observe SOF training evolutions and assist with strength and conditioning testing and training protocols • Ability to lift and manipulate loads and plates up to 25 kilograms • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification from the American Heart Association • Must provide front and back proof of all training, certifications, and documentation • Must comply with safety, health, environmental, quality assurance, attendance, and training requirements • Prior military and/or SOF experience desired • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification desired
