Beschreibung

• Serve as the key Medical Staff Office contact for the local CMO, local medical staff leadership, committees, sections, and departments • Provide Medical Staff Office resources for continuity of medical staff organization activities • Participate in other hospital committees, as appropriate • Manage all local medical staff office-related duties • Work closely with the system credentialing office regarding initial appointments and provider reappointments

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare related field or equivalent experience • 5 years experience working in a healthcare environment, including at least 1 year of performing medical staff and/or credentialing functions • Certified or eligible as a Certified Professional Medical Staff Manager (CPMSM) and/or Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) within the timeframe of certification eligibility • Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team including peers and medical staff leaders/members • Demonstrated working knowledge of Joint Commission, HIPAA, and other regulatory standards as they relate to Medical Staff Services preferred • Employees must be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella • Employees must receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year hired and annually thereafter, or have an approved medical or religious exemption
