Beschreibung

• Lead the transformation from a traditional software engineering model to an AI-native engineering organization • Define and lead AI adoption across the software development lifecycle • Establish measurable approaches for evaluating AI's impact on developer productivity, software quality, reliability, and delivery speed • Ensure autonomous engineering agents operate within defined guardrails and modernization standards • Architect applications and infrastructure to be agent-ready • Build organizational capability to design, develop, and operate AI-powered business solutions • Establish patterns for integrating AI capabilities into enterprise applications and workflows • Evaluate AI technologies and solutions based on business value, implementation reality, cost, and risk • Create a disciplined idea-to-production pipeline for production-grade AI solutions • Provide technical leadership on emerging AI technologies and vendors and inform build, buy, partner, and platform decisions • Advise the SVP of Digital Strategy and other business and technology leaders on technology roadmaps, engineering strategy, and architecture • Advance modular, API-first, and composable engineering patterns • Steward legacy platforms and determine where to modernize, re-architect, or retain • Optimize codebases, environments, and data access layers • Shape the mix of internal talent, strategic partners, outsourcing, and augmentation • Develop engineering organizational capabilities and growth opportunities • Identify capability gaps and execute focused hiring strategies • Design and oversee support and sourcing models that maintain reliability • Manage the department budget with transparency and precision • Evaluate investments based on measurable business and engineering outcomes • Identify cost improvements through automation, productivity, architectural efficiencies, application rationalization, vendor management, and cloud/AI unit economics • Manage OpEx/CapEx and connect investments and milestones to financial and business outcomes

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Management, Engineering, or related field preferred • 10–14 years of technical experience with 4–6 years of direct management of staff, or comparable applicable work experience • Experience leading enterprise application modernization, including evolving legacy and monolithic systems toward modular, API-first, cloud-ready architectures • Deep understanding of the AI software engineering landscape • Experience applying AI-assisted and agentic approaches across the software development lifecycle • Ability to establish and evolve engineering standards, architecture principles, and governance • Experience leading engineering operating model and practice evolution across established technology organizations • Strong OpEx/CapEx management background • Ability to connect technical milestones to financial outcomes • Ability to solve complex and ambiguous problems collaboratively • Ability to work concurrently on multiple complex problems • Excellent communication skills with all organizational levels • Exceptional leadership abilities and experience building, managing, and motivating geographically distributed high-performing teams • Strong business acumen • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities under pressure
