Beschreibung

• Partner with product, engineering, and stakeholders to translate customer needs into scalable, long-term technical solutions • Influence architecture decisions and drive modernization efforts aligned with enterprise standards and strategic goals • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance while promoting Agile, DevOps, and AI-driven development practices • Design systems and software integration patterns across a diverse software engineering ecosystem • Solve complex customer problems using application and system data and prior experience • Develop architecturally impactful solution components • Identify, incorporate, and define development frameworks and libraries • Research and recommend technologies to improve current systems • Coordinate design and integration of entire systems and subsystems • Participate in collaboration sessions, product planning, and implementation • Help product owners create technical user stories • Contribute to application specifications, standards, diagrams, coding standards, and best practices • Broker solution design and implementation across product teams • Contribute to organization-wide systems design and implement recommendations • Act as a subject matter expert for operations and support processes • Set product/platform technology strategy and lead critical-path technology design • Define technology and tools roadmaps with product owners • Establish and share engineering standards and patterns • Lead critical incident resolution and proactively address product issues • Assess technology to build stable, scalable, and resilient software • Promote and expand CI/CD pipeline usage • Lead software solution vendor evaluations and summarize business impacts • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, training, and demos to engineers • Engage in the technology community to build Thrivent's technology brand • Participate in interviews and recruiting panels • Serve as Talent Captain for the product group • Model Thrivent's leadership competencies and support continuous improvement, employee engagement, client commitment, and company values

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another technical field, or equivalent work experience • 10+ years of experience in engineering environments, formulating detailed software engineering plans from abstract concepts and ideas • Experience architecting software solutions involving performance SLOs, high availability, reliability, and security • Understanding of data and system integration patterns and technologies • Proficiency in managing large-scale projects • Ability to articulate and transfer complex ideas to a wide audience through verbal and written communication • Strong conceptual, critical-thinking, technical, and problem-solving skills • Ability to meet with high-level management to present and/or deliver technical documentation • Preferred: Master's degree in a related field • Preferred: Financial Services industry experience • Preferred: Coaching or mentoring other team members
