Beschreibung

• Assume overall management responsibility for assigned supplemental or total outsourced CDI engagements • Assist Consulting Services in obtaining revenue goals • Monitor and manage relationships with contracted vendors • Facilitate resolution of vendor issues and conflicts • Directly supervise CDI staff and provide expertise to achieve target quality and production levels • Measure CDI operations effectiveness, identify improvement areas, monitor trends, and develop action plans • Supervise assigned CDI staff through leadership, coaching, training, and development • Allocate work assignments and review progress toward objectives • Manage employee compensation, performance appraisals, diversity, disability, and relevant employee data • Understand and enforce corporate/location policies and procedures and address violations

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution, completed and verified prior to start, and seven (7) years of acute care CDI management experience; OR High School Diploma/GED and eleven (11) years of acute care CDI management experience • CCDS certification or valid RN license with minimum of five (5) years acute care experience • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time • Preferred: Master’s degree in HIM, Nursing, or another healthcare clinical background • Preferred: 10+ years in management of CDI or HIM services consulting or coding functions in a mid-to-large acute care hospital setting, or 10+ years managing an outsourced CDI group • Strong ICD-10-CM/PCS coding, coding guidelines, and DRG methodologies experience • Working knowledge of risk-adjusted methodologies such as APR DRGs and quality-of-care measures such as HACs and PSIs • Deep understanding of clinical documentation, medical record coding, healthcare billing, and revenue cycle management • Attention to detail and strong organization, with focus on quality • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, work independently, and produce excellent results • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status
