Beschreibung

• Screen organ offers from the OPTN contractor according to Transplant Center protocols and workflows • Communicate with Transplant Center teams, OPO staff, recipients, operating room teams, and internal TransMedics teams • Maintain knowledge of and adhere to OPTN policies • Coordinate donor assessment from clinical review through surgeon and recipient communication to transplantation • Collaborate with the TransMedics Logistics team • Consult with TransMedics Clinical Leadership as appropriate • Complete accurate pre- and post-transplant documentation in Transplant Center EMR and OPTN systems • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team projects • Attend team meetings outside scheduled call hours as necessary • Schedule time off with advance notice in coordination with the manager • Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities • No direct reports

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Health Science, Biological Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Minimum of three years of experience as a Transplant Coordinator, Organ Procurement Coordinator, or similar role with a strong clinical background in transplantation • In-depth knowledge of human anatomy and physiology • Willingness to work within a 24x7 operational environment, including all shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage • Five or more years of experience as a Transplant Coordinator, Organ Procurement Coordinator, or in a similar transplant-related clinical role preferred • Experience working with multiple organ transplant programs or high-volume transplant centers preferred • Advanced knowledge of OPTN policies, transplant operations, and organ allocation processes preferred • Experience participating in quality improvement or process improvement within a transplant program preferred • Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary transplant teams • Working knowledge of transplant logistics and vendor management • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure • Ability and confidence to make independent decisions regarding donor medical management, logistical arrangements, and organ allocation • Experience with medical compliance and clinical data sharing • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and electronic medical record systems • Participation in a minimum of eight 24-hour on-call shifts per month, including holidays and weekends, based on staffing and business needs
