Beschreibung

• Own the strategic vision and technical leadership for USDR’s digital transformation and AI approach • Provide product and technical leadership across USDR programs • Lead go-to-market strategy for shared tooling • Partner with product managers to grow reach and deepen impact with government partners • Shape and evolve offerings, including the Elections Administration Platform and AI tooling • Position, package, and scale products sustainably for government partners • Strengthen organization-wide service delivery and impact measurement • Serve as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders • Define responsible AI adoption and deployment inside USDR and in government tools and prototypes • Develop, hire, and lead a partner-facing AI team contingent on funding • Establish AI policies, tooling, guardrails, and learning culture • Partner with the Volunteers Team and programs on AI opportunities for recruiting and engaging volunteers • Set long-term technology infrastructure direction, policies, principles, and operations • Manage and partner with the Tools & Ops Lead on internal tools and adoption • Set platform and infrastructure approaches supporting government partners • Build technical fluency through documentation, training, and clear standards • Lead organization-wide priorities as a member of the Executive Team • Shape long-term strategy for platforms and infrastructure and assess emerging technologies • Manage organizational change initiatives • Participate in fundraising and development conversations as a technical representative • Travel 1–2 times per quarter for internal meetings and fundraising support • Directly lead the Tools & Ops Manager and Elections Program; potentially oversee a new AI Studio

🎯 Anforderungen

• Experience building, shipping, and bringing technology to market • Direct leadership of engineering, product, or digital service teams • Experience leading go-to-market for products, ideally with governments as the customer • Technical depth to contribute to architecture and go-to-market decisions • Ability to draft scopes of work and/or publish code if from an engineering background • Track record of managing across distinct functions • Experience building and scaling at least one team from the ground up, including recruiting and developing talent • Experience leading responsible AI adoption in real settings with constraints • Hands-on experience with AI strategy, responsible deployment, and/or AI governance • Understanding of AI’s transformative potential, limitations, and risks • Experience establishing security and quality standards, technical documentation, escalation processes, and technical fluency • Ability to represent technology decisions to program leaders, government partners, and funders in plain terms • Ability to lead and influence in a matrixed structure • Alignment with the USDR Community Oath and organizational values • Ability to perform the duties through any combination of education, experience, and measurable performance • Must reside in the United States • Must have and maintain active U.S. Work Authorization • New employees must meet employment eligibility verification requirements through E-Verify
