Beschreibung

• Support the technical direction and people development of a small engineering team • Collaborate with the Product Manager to shape priorities and balance new work with ongoing improvements • Connect with engineering leaders across the organisation and strengthen engineering culture • Take responsibility for squad technical decisions and align them with company and technical strategy • Define team goals and drive prioritisation • Establish practices to meet security and operational service level objectives (SLOs) • Coordinate organisation-wide on-call coverage • Lead regular metrics reviews for coverage and performance • Set OKRs with the Product Manager and team • Identify risks and blockers and work with stakeholders to mitigate them • Measure team performance and communicate progress against OKRs, KPIs, and milestones • Co-lead annual and quarterly squad planning • Staff the squad, hire as needed, and develop team members • Onboard, train, develop, and coach reports • Participate in performance calibration and promotion reviews • Communicate company, department, and pillar strategy to the squad • Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues including UX and data • Co-lead the squad with the Product Manager • Manage team OpEx and CapEx within budget • Foster a healthy team dynamic, resolve interpersonal conflicts, and act on feedback

🎯 Anforderungen

• Knowledge of core tech stack: gRPC, GraphQL, React, Kafka, Docker & Kubernetes • Experience with Go preferred but not essential • Experience taking responsibility for technical decisions and aligning them with strategy • Understanding of engineering practices and ability to identify improvements • Experience defining team goals and driving prioritisation • Ability to work with Product Managers to set OKRs aligned with company goals • Ability to co-lead annual and quarterly planning • Experience identifying risks early and mitigating them • Experience identifying practices for security and SLOs • Ability to drive operational excellence and lead metrics reviews • Experience managing a team of engineers • Ability to onboard, train, develop, and coach reports • Experience participating in performance calibration and promotion reviews • Intermediate awareness of customer and market insights • Ability to communicate strategy to the squad • Experience fostering a healthy team dynamic and resolving interpersonal conflicts • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional colleagues • Successful candidates are subject to a background check
