Beschreibung

• Identify funding opportunities aligned with WLA priorities, proven program approaches, and funder interests • Use knowledge of WLA strategies, programs, partnerships, and funding needs to inform institutional giving work • Proactively manage proposals, report deadlines, and deliverable calendars • Develop and implement organizational grant strategy addressing highest-priority needs, future growth, and expansion • Manage funder relationships through meetings, correspondence, site visits, and check-ins • Lead cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for institutional funders • Write grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports for foundation, corporate, and government funders • Prepare donor profiles and funder briefing materials • Gather input and support materials from program staff and stakeholders/partners • Coordinate with program and finance staff to create grant project budgets • Develop implementation plans for spending and timely execution of grant deliverables • Advise program staff on allowable grant fund uses, budget revisions, match requirements, extension requests, program amendments, and contract compliance • Maintain records of visits and conversations, donor profiles, moves management, and acknowledgements in the development database • Provide grant data and stories for e-newsletters, social media, annual reports, and other communications • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Anforderungen

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience required • Minimum five years’ experience with grant writing and management • Experience working with public and private institutional funders • Experience working for a government entity or nonprofit specializing in environmental conservation • Proven record of renewing and expanding support from government and private funders • Knowledge of federal uniform guidance, especially as it relates to budgets and match tracking • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite • Experience with CRM database required • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment • Creative and positive approach to communication and problem solving • Strong technology literacy and adaptability, including the ability to learn and effectively use new software, digital tools, and collaborative platforms • Residency in the American West • Ability to facilitate meetings and interface professionally with the public • Ability to travel long distances by vehicle or plane, walk on uneven ground, work outside in variable weather conditions, and move agency materials up to 25 pounds
