📋 Description

• Lead the technical and innovation relationship between Amcor Specialty Cartons and British American Tobacco globally • Act as the primary technical interface for BAT • Drive packaging innovation, commercial growth, product development, operational excellence, sustainability initiatives, and technical issue resolution across multiple geographies • Develop and maintain technical relationships with BAT stakeholders globally • Advise on carton packaging technologies, materials, manufacturing capabilities, and innovation opportunities • Support development and execution of the global BAT account strategy • Identify opportunities to expand Amcor's share of wallet through innovation and technical differentiation • Lead customer-facing innovation projects from concept through commercialization • Drive packaging development programs aligned with BAT's innovation pipeline • Facilitate introduction of new materials, technologies, sustainability solutions, and manufacturing capabilities • Coordinate cross-functional project teams • Manage complex global projects involving multiple BAT sites and Amcor manufacturing plants • Ensure project milestones, timelines, budgets, and customer expectations are achieved • Maintain stakeholder communication and provide regular project updates • Escalate and resolve project risks proactively • Build relationships with senior customer stakeholders across Procurement, Packaging Development, Quality, Operations, Marketing, and Sustainability • Represent Amcor during technical reviews, innovation workshops, and business reviews • Support contract retention and growth through customer engagement • Lead investigation and resolution of technical, product quality, and manufacturing issues • Coordinate corrective and preventive actions across internal teams • Manage customer complaints and drive continuous improvement • Support BAT's sustainability agenda through recyclable, renewable, and lower-carbon packaging solutions • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer specifications • Stay informed of legislation and industry trends affecting tobacco packaging • Collaborate with Commercial, R&D and Innovation, Manufacturing Operations, Quality Assurance, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Sustainability teams • Influence stakeholders without direct authority to achieve customer objectives

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Manufacturing, or related discipline • Significant experience within packaging, FMCG, tobacco, paperboard, printing, or manufacturing industries • Experience managing large multinational customer relationships • Proven technical project leadership experience • Deep understanding of paperboard and carton converting processes • Knowledge of packaging design, print technologies, materials, and manufacturing methods • Understanding of quality systems and packaging compliance requirements • Ability to translate technical solutions into commercial value • Strong understanding of customer economics and business drivers • Experience supporting strategic global accounts • Proven ability to manage complex international projects • Strong planning, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills • Ability to work effectively across multiple time zones and cultures • Strong executive presence • Ability to engage effectively with senior customer leaders • Skilled at presenting technical concepts to both technical and commercial audiences • Preferred: experience working with tobacco industry customers • Preferred: global account management experience • Preferred: Six Sigma, Lean, or formal project management qualifications • Preferred: knowledge of sustainable packaging technologies and regulatory developments
