📋 Description

• Join the Bank’s place-based Local Growth team within a defined region/Devolved Nation • Support development of a tailored local strategy • Engage with the local market and use the Bank’s place-based toolkit, investment teams, central resources, and commercial experience • Identify, catalyse, and facilitate commercial opportunities • Connect finance providers with clusters of high-potential businesses to drive growth in local financing and business activity • Foster a local financing ecosystem enabling innovative, high-potential businesses to access appropriate finance • Leverage the Bank’s expertise, finance-provider networks, and investor networks • Build credibility with internal and external stakeholders, including investment professionals, local leaders, and politicians • Facilitate proposal, negotiation, and implementation of regional activities and change • Produce analytical materials supporting strategy, stakeholder engagement, and measurable outcomes

🎯 Requirements

• Commercial experience in accessing and/or delivering equity or debt instruments • Strong technical and strategic understanding of investment decisions and capital flows into local markets • Proven ability to act as a strategic partner to external stakeholders and influence decision-makers at operational and strategic levels • Existing and active network within the SME support and/or economic development ecosystem in the region / Devolved Nation • Knowledge and experience of the SME access to finance ecosystem • Good analytical capability • Confidence working with quantitative and qualitative data • Ability to produce compelling, insightful materials that inform strategy, support stakeholder engagement, and contribute to measurable outcomes
