📋 Description

• Lead strategic SSHEQ initiatives supporting business growth and operational excellence • Drive continuous improvement, innovation and transformational change • Champion the use of technology, data and insight to improve performance • Support and influence operational leaders to raise standards and embed best practice • Help deliver sustainability and ESG ambitions • Develop and inspire a high-performing team and broader SSHEQ culture • Build trusted relationships with customers, stakeholders and senior leaders • Advise and partner with the SSHEQ Director on strategic business priorities • Influence strategy, drive performance and embed safety, sustainability and quality across the organisation • Travel to sites across the UK in a national role

🎯 Requirements

• Senior leadership experience within telecoms, infrastructure, utilities, construction or another complex operational environment • Proven track record of leading cultural change, improving performance and raising standards at scale • Strong commercial awareness, understanding how outstanding SSHEQ performance supports operational delivery, customer satisfaction and business growth • Confidence and credibility to influence senior stakeholders across the business and externally • Experience driving transformation, implementing new ways of working and embracing technology to improve outcomes • Ability to build strong relationships with customers and represent the business at a senior level • Passion for developing people, building capability and creating high-performing teams • Ability to engage with front-line operational teams, present to senior leaders and represent the business with major customers
