📋 Description

• Develop C++ and Swift systems software for macOS • Bridge Swift, C++ and C APIs using Objective-C++ • Work with launchd daemons and agents, XPC, Endpoint Security, Network Extension, security and cryptography APIs, IOKit, DiskArbitration, installers, notarization, and MDM configuration profiles • Profile CPU and memory performance and debug using Instruments, os_signpost, LLDB, crash logs and os_log • Build and maintain XCTest, sanitizer, fuzzing and xcodebuild-based CI workflows • Support codebases shared across Mac, Windows and Linux • Potentially develop SwiftUI and AppKit applications and app extensions • Test against macOS and Xcode beta releases and ship EDR/AV, network-security or device-management products

🎯 Requirements

• Modern C++ (C++17/20) and Swift 6 (async/await, actors, strict concurrency checking) • Objective-C++ to bridge Swift, C++ and C APIs • macOS systems programming with Foundation, CoreFoundation, GCD, pthreads, POSIX/BSD APIs, Mach IPC, launchd, and XPC • Profiling CPU and memory with Instruments and os_signpost • Debugging with LLDB, crash logs and os_log • XCTest, sanitizers, fuzzing, and xcodebuild-based CI • Experience with Apple Silicon and Intel • Experience with codebases shared across Mac, Windows and Linux • Expertise in one or more core-skill areas including process model and IPC, Endpoint Security and System Extensions, Network Extension, security and cryptography, devices and storage, packaging and deployment, or performance, debugging and testing
