• Own the component-level architecture of Flui's AWS cloud estate, including AWS-native services and open-source/self-managed components • Operate and continuously improve platforms underpinning MarketFlow, MeterFlow and DCC adapter • Own accountability for platform resilience, performance and scalability at national-scale transaction volumes • Design and maintain disaster recovery, high-availability and capacity plans • Own FinOps, including cost visibility, forecasting, tagging, allocation and cost optimisation • Own cloud security posture, including IAM, network security, encryption, vulnerability and patch management • Ensure the cloud estate aligns with Flui's ISO/IEC 27001 ISMS and compliance obligations • Define and maintain non-functional standards for resilience, performance, scalability and observability • Design, build and where appropriate implement infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines and platform tooling • Own incident management, on-call practice, root-cause analysis and continuous improvement of SRE practices • Make build-vs-buy and AWS-native-vs-open-source decisions • Manage key vendor and technical relationships, including AWS and platform tooling providers • Partner with product and engineering leadership on cloud architecture, roadmap and time-to-market • Recruit and develop a small platform engineering team • Champion knowledge sharing, technical education, architecture documentation, internal cloud sessions and mentoring
• Demonstrable experience owning cloud platforms supporting a regulated, high-availability or critical-infrastructure business • Deep, hands-on AWS expertise across compute, storage, networking, data and security services • Proven experience designing and operating cloud-native platforms combining AWS-native services with open-source components such as Kubernetes, Terraform, Kafka, and Prometheus/Grafana or equivalent tools • Track record of owning a FinOps practice and delivering demonstrable, sustained cloud cost savings • Strong cloud security background in IAM, encryption and vulnerability management • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001 • Experience defining and meeting non-functional requirements including high availability, disaster recovery, performance/load testing and production-scale scalability • Strong infrastructure-as-code skills using Terraform, CloudFormation or CDK • Mature CI/CD practice • Comfortable operating hands-on while owning strategy, standards and team development • Track record of knowledge sharing and raising technical capability through documentation, mentoring or internal training • Willingness to participate in on-call/incident response as needed • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline is a bonus, or equivalent hands-on experience • Current AWS certifications are highly desirable
