📋 Description

• Lead, coach, and develop teams of Software Engineers • Support career growth, conduct performance evaluations, contribute to compensation planning, and hire engineers • Review key designs and pull requests, pair with engineers on difficult problems, and contribute to tooling, prototypes, or small fixes • Partner with Product Managers and Designers to understand customers and participate in discovery • Guide teams toward customer and business outcomes • Connect engineering decisions to customer value, retention, and revenue • Own the flow of work from planning through release, using delivery and quality signals to identify bottlenecks • Lead adoption of AI-native engineering across the software development lifecycle • Champion operational excellence, reliability, and quality practices • Own service health and act as Incident Commander when needed • Set quarterly plans, track roadmap progress, and contribute to department-wide planning and strategy • Lead the Editing Experience team responsible for translation editors, review and approval workflows, content management tools, and developer utilities

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of recent experience as an Engineering Manager leading software engineering teams, ideally in SaaS product companies • Strong software engineering background and current hands-on experience • Ability to review code and designs, investigate technical issues, and contribute to architecture decisions • Experience hiring, onboarding, coaching, managing performance, and developing engineers • Product engineering mindset and experience partnering with Product and Design on discovery • Experience working directly with customers and measuring success by customer and business outcomes • Business acumen and ability to communicate trade-offs in terms of impact • Experience using engineering metrics and flow practices such as DORA metrics, cycle time, or WIP limits • Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development and agentic tools in individual and team workflows • Experience planning and delivering complex initiatives across several teams, including managing dependencies, risks, and incidents • Legal right to work in the United Kingdom, Latvia, or Spain
