📋 Description

• Build and operate distributed C# and .NET microservices on Azure • Work within an event-driven architecture supporting products at significant scale • Own services end-to-end from ideation through implementation, deployment, production operation, and iteration • Design for idempotency, retries, out-of-order events, and failure modes • Use observability, automated tests, SLOs, alerting, and deployment safeguards • Participate in on-call operations and use incidents to improve platform resilience • Experiment with AI tools, agents, and workflows across design, code generation, code review, testing, incident investigation, and technical communication • Collaborate with distributed teams across the UK, Europe, and Africa • Build backend systems supporting financial inclusion and customers across African markets

🎯 Requirements

• Strong grasp of C# and .NET development • Experience with event-driven systems and messaging technologies such as Azure Service Bus, Kafka, or RabbitMQ • Experience with microservices architecture, ideally on Azure and Kubernetes • Experience using observability tooling such as Grafana and Azure Application Insights • Comfort using AI tools as part of a daily engineering workflow • DevOps culture mindset, including on-call and production ownership • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in distributed teams across time zones • Continuous learning mindset and openness to feedback • Ability to work during core GMT working hours • Must complete pre-employment background checks if selected
