📋 Description

• Provide pragmatic, commercially focused advice on GDPR, data protection, privacy and information rights matters across multiple jurisdictions • Advise stakeholders at all levels on complex privacy issues • Support regulatory engagement • Lead Data Protection Impact Assessments • Help embed privacy by design throughout the organisation • Handle data subject rights requests and privacy complaints • Manage regulatory matters and notifications • Support and deputise for the Group Data Protection Officer when required • Help shape data protection strategy, policies and compliance frameworks across Specsavers • Partner with senior leaders and stakeholders across the business

🎯 Requirements

• At least two years’ experience in data protection and privacy • Strong understanding of GDPR and its practical application in a commercial environment • Experience handling subject access requests, privacy complaints, regulatory notifications and broader data protection compliance activities • Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships • Ability to work independently • Confidence providing advice to colleagues at all levels of the business • Strong communication skills • Experience within an in-house legal team, retail, healthcare or technology environment highly beneficial • ISEB Practitioner level certification, CIPP accreditation, or experience across EU and international privacy frameworks would help you stand out • Qualified lawyer or regulatory professional with specialist privacy expertise
