📋 Description

• Lead, develop and mentor a team of Category Buyers and Purchasing Administrators • Implement category strategies that support business growth and operational excellence • Drive supplier consolidation and standardisation opportunities across the UK service network • Negotiate competitive supplier agreements, rebates and commercial terms • Build strategic supplier partnerships that improve service, quality and cost performance • Act as a senior escalation point for supplier-related challenges • Monitor supplier performance, delivery metrics and procurement KPIs • Identify cost-saving and value-improvement opportunities through benchmarking and market analysis • Partner with stakeholders across operations, engineering, finance and leadership teams to support business objectives • Champion compliance, procurement governance and continuous improvement initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• Procurement experience within engineering, manufacturing, industrial services or a related technical environment • Proven experience developing, implementing and embedding category-based procurement strategies across multiple spend areas, driving supplier optimisation, cost reduction, risk mitigation and long-term value creation • Experience leading and developing procurement teams • Strong supplier management and negotiation expertise • Commercial acumen with the ability to balance cost, quality and operational requirements • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and influencing decision making • A proactive and strategic approach to driving change and continuous improvement • Knowledge of SAP and/or D365 would be advantageous
