• Support the effective running of the Net Zero Carbon Fundraising team and delivery of grants to parishes and dioceses • Undertake Give to Go Green grant application checks, including document, faculty and reserves-status checks • Prepare grant panel documentation and take accurate minutes of grant panel meetings • Prepare and issue grant outcome letters and grant agreements • Set up and process grant payment requests, liaising with Finance colleagues to ensure timely payment • Maintain grant filing systems on SharePoint and the Grant Management System • Maintain and update Give to Go Green tracking spreadsheets and provide requested data • Manage the Give to Go Green inbox and respond to parish application queries, escalating complex enquiries • Support successful parishes with matched fundraising campaigns, Give A Little onboarding and digital fundraising • Submit applications manually for parishes unable to use the Grant Management System • Manage the Net Zero Carbon Fundraising inbox and respond to diocesan and parish queries • Support philanthropy event management, training events, webinars and conferences • Maintain and develop national net zero carbon fundraising resources with Giving Directorate colleagues • Organise internal and external meetings for the Net Zero Carbon fundraising workstream • Report to the Head of Net Zero Carbon Fundraising and communicate with the Give to Go Green Project Manager and other team members
• Substantial hands-on administrative experience, ideally in a grant-making environment or on a high-profile programme involving multiple stakeholders • Experience developing, implementing and maintaining effective administrative systems and processes • Experience building excellent relationships and communicating effectively with staff and external stakeholders at all levels, including volunteers • Highly IT literate, with substantial hands-on experience of Microsoft applications and systems that manage data • Sympathetic understanding of the aims of the Church of England’s Net Zero Carbon Programme, as described in the Routemap to Net Zero Carbon • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including communicating in person, in writing and online • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete administrative tasks accurately • Good numeracy skills, including updating data dashboards • Extremely well organised, able to prioritise a varied workload, remain calm under pressure and meet tight deadlines • Very strong self-motivator, as the job requires remote working • Ability to work collaboratively across a diverse and geographically dispersed organisation • Ability to travel occasionally for work purposes across England • Willingness to learn and develop new skills • Desirable: experience of fundraising in a paid role • Desirable: understanding of the Christian faith and the structures and workings of the Church of England • Desirable: experience working within a large and complex organisation • Desirable: experience working with volunteers
