📋 Description

• Create and plan menus according to the location’s style and customer preferences • Oversee food preparation and presentation, monitoring wastage and portion control • Recruit, train, and supervise chefs, cooks, and front-of-house colleagues • Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to the kitchen team • Monitor stock levels and order supplies • Interact with customers to understand catering needs and address concerns • Seek customer feedback and maintain open communication • Support the head chef with health, safety, and food safety compliance • Develop and manage kitchen budgets • Report on financial performance and implement cost savings • Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate new ideas into menus • Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, and food preparation • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements • Lead and develop a team of six colleagues • Manage the day-to-day café operation, including breakfast, lunch, barista-quality coffee, and freshly produced home-baked products

🎯 Requirements

• Experience as a Chef Manager within contract catering • Experience managing large-volume business sites • Excellent creative culinary skills • Leadership and team management abilities • Excellent communication and interpersonal relations skills • Proficiency in food cost management • Knowledge of food safety and health and safety regulations • Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment • Works according to BaxterStorey core values
