📋 Description

• Support clinical research for Hematologic Malignancy and Cell Therapies Clinical Research Teams • Perform research, data, administrative, and coordination duties • Collect, compile, document, and manage clinical research data • Coordinate agreements with study teams and Duke offices • Serve as an expert resource on regulatory and institutional policies and processes • Lead or participate in monitoring and audit training sessions and develop policies and guidelines • Develop and oversee recruitment, retention, SOP, documentation, and operational strategies • Prepare for, coordinate, and participate in site visits • Communicate with sponsors and CROs • Manage protocol systems, reports, resources, and operational plans across study teams or sites • Determine research program goals, gaps, constraints, needs, and milestones with investigators • Manage the research project lifecycle from initiation through closing • Direct project staff and adjust plans and timelines based on stakeholder feedback • Manage program operations, budgets, staff mentoring, and training • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies • Provide guidance on recruitment, consenting, study documentation, program evaluation, and data capture • Develop and edit research proposals and manuscripts • Represent the research program on behalf of the PI at internal and external meetings • Communicate with study personnel and resolve routine protocol issues • Seek technical knowledge and contribute to innovation and performance improvement • Participate in committees and workgroups • Establish and assign team activities to accomplish study goals

🎯 Requirements

• Completion of a Bachelor's degree • Minimum of four years of research experience, such as research, clinical, interaction with study population, or program coordination • Master's degree may substitute for two years of related experience • Maintain Duke and project specific training and certification requirements • Knowledge of regulations, policies, resources, and ethical guidelines relevant to clinical research • Ability to understand and follow policies, SOPs, regulations, and protocol requirements governing clinical research • Ability to identify and explain clinical trial risks and benefits • Ability to safeguard vulnerable research populations • Advanced subject matter expertise in the therapeutic area or clinical research • Ability to navigate Duke clinical research processes and organizational structures
