• Design and implement strategies to enhance performance and reduce denials and write-offs using performance improvement techniques and methodologies • Evaluate operational workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology, bots, and automation • Implement and maintain technology solutions for the department • Recommend policies, procedures, and training documentation for initiatives and projects • Establish department performance targets • Serve as a subject matter expert on eligibility, authorization, and medical necessity • Develop, maintain, and enhance knowledge of electronic health record systems and third-party vendor functionality to recommend optimal workflows • Serve as an expert resource on performance improvement methodologies • Liaise with service lines and revenue cycle departments regarding pre-service verification operations • Educate supporting clinics on pre-service verification processes and resolve system-related workflow issues • Communicate departmental improvement strategy and develop strategies to meet performance metrics • Serve as project manager for interdisciplinary teams • Ensure training and documentation are provided for new and changing processes • Promote the PRMO strategic vision, mission, and purpose • Foster a department culture that develops and retains staff • Provide timely verbal and written responses to patients, providers, payors, and departmental personnel • Attend meetings and participate in assigned work culture initiatives, committees, and workgroups
• Bachelor's degree in a business or health-related field is required • Minimum of 5 years work experience • 3 years of experience with significant responsibility for performance/process improvement • Experience leading work teams required • Effective written and verbal communication skills • Ability to communicate with customers/staff with diverse educational backgrounds • Ability to analyze data and processes for opportunities for improvement • Ability to manage numerous diverse projects simultaneously through effective priority setting, efficient use of time, and organization • Knowledge of revenue cycle operations • Attention to detail and accuracy • Computer literacy
