📋 Description

• Author original, challenging multiple-choice biology questions testing deep understanding • Verify pre-written biology questions for scientific accuracy, clarity, rigour, completeness, and solvability • Edit questions and answer choices and document substantive scientific changes • Develop problems involving experimental design, controls, measurement, biological inference, datasets, figures, and research scenarios • Identify confounding factors, methodological weaknesses, unsupported assumptions, and alternative explanations • Create and evaluate assessment content in industrial biotechnology, pharmaceutical manufacturing, synthetic biology, and engineered biological systems • Develop questions involving biomedical research, therapeutic discovery, target identification, mechanism-of-action studies, experimental validation, and preclinical research • Create rigorous content in agricultural, environmental, food, ecological, molecular, microbiological, and physiological biology • Provide 1–5 academic references per question where required • Develop structured solution explanations and rate question difficulty using Medium, Hard, and Expert standards • Help maintain consistent scientific quality and contribute to gold-standard AI benchmark evaluation materials

🎯 Requirements

• PhD or current doctoral candidacy in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Neuroscience, Biotechnology, or a closely related life sciences discipline • Master's degree may be considered for candidates with exceptional expertise in a relevant biological subdomain • Strong command of graduate-level biology, experimental design, and scientific data interpretation • Expertise in one or more of pharmaceutical manufacturing, industrial biology, synthetic biology, medical research, drug discovery, agricultural biology, environmental biology, or food biology • Strong understanding of biological research methodology and evidence evaluation • Ability to construct rigorous, discriminating academic assessment content • Excellent written English and ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and precisely • Academic research publications are highly valued • Laboratory, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or applied life sciences experience is advantageous • University-level teaching, examination development, or scientific assessment experience is highly valued • Strong attention to scientific accuracy, experimental validity, and methodological rigour • Availability of at least 10 hours per week • Must complete work without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, institution, or other third party • H1-B and STEM OPT support is unavailable for this engagement
