• Complete a one-time online survey or interview about day-to-day emergency medicine practice • Provide accurate information about emergency medicine responsibilities and decisions • Describe clinical, operational, patient-management, triage, evaluation, stabilisation, and disposition tasks • Explain responses to time-sensitive and high-risk presentations • Describe professional judgment involved in preventing death or further disability • Provide perspective on directing and coordinating emergency department staff • Review emergency medicine responsibility descriptions for accuracy and completeness • Distinguish emergency medicine physician work from adjacent healthcare occupations • Identify missing, outdated, or unclear task descriptions • Participate in optional follow-up surveys, tasks, or short interviews when invited
• At least 4 years of experience practising emergency medicine • Current employment in emergency medicine or experience in the role within the past 12 months • Direct knowledge of triage, urgent clinical decision-making, patient stabilisation, and disposition • Experience practising independently in an emergency department • Strong understanding of emergency department workflows and physician responsibilities • Ability to describe professional tasks clearly and accurately • Current residence in the United States • A medical degree and professional credentials supporting independent practice as an emergency medicine physician in the United States • Completed postgraduate clinical training in emergency medicine is highly relevant • Professional experience reflecting independent physician-level responsibility • Residents and fellows who have not yet practised independently are not eligible
• Up to $110 per hour • Separate compensation for optional additional work • Flexible completion schedule • Fully remote work within the United States
