📋 Description

• Author original, challenging multiple-choice questions in history and political science • Verify pre-written questions for factual accuracy, clarity, rigour, completeness, ambiguity, and solvability • Edit questions and answer choices and document substantive changes with reasoning • Develop problems requiring historical evidence interpretation, context, causation, change over time, historiographical methods, and source criticism • Create content involving political institutions, governance, public policy, political decision-making, comparative political analysis, national security, international affairs, conflict, and policy trade-offs • Develop or review specialised content in Business History, Environmental History, and Latin American History • Provide 1–5 academic references per question where required • Write structured solution explanations supporting correct answers • Rate question difficulty according to Medium, Hard, and Expert standards • Contribute to gold-standard evaluation materials for assessing advanced AI capabilities

🎯 Requirements

• PhD or current doctoral candidacy in History, Political Science, International Relations, Public Policy, or a closely related discipline • Master's degree may be considered for candidates with exceptional expertise in a relevant subdomain • Strong command of historiographical methods, political analysis, and comparative reasoning • Expertise in one or more areas including National Security, Public Policy, Business History, Environmental History, or Latin American History • Strong ability to evaluate evidence, competing interpretations, and complex causal arguments • Excellent written English and ability to communicate sophisticated ideas clearly and precisely • Academic research publications are highly valued • Professional policy, government, think-tank, or national-security experience is advantageous • University-level teaching or academic assessment experience is highly valued • Strong attention to factual precision, ambiguity, source quality, and analytical rigour • Expected availability of at least 10 hours per week • Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, institution, or other third party • H1-B and STEM OPT support is unavailable for this engagement
