• Review AI-generated responses to questions involving Japanese corporate and commercial law • Evaluate legal reasoning across M&A, transactional, governance, and related corporate matters • Identify substantive legal errors, omissions, unsupported conclusions, and misleading reasoning • Compare identical legal prompts across two AI platforms • Score responses against a standardised evaluation rubric • Provide concise written rationale and expert feedback for each evaluation • Assess transaction structures, corporate governance, commercial agreements, and deal execution • Apply practical transactional experience to complex legal scenarios • Work independently against structured rubrics, deadlines, and project quality standards
• Qualified to practise law in Japan • At least 2 years of law-firm experience; 3+ years preferred • Substantive professional experience in corporate law, M&A, or transactional practice • Primary professional background within an established law firm • Candidates currently working in-house may be considered if they moved from law-firm practice within approximately the last two years • Strong command of Japanese corporate and commercial law • Native or fluent proficiency in Japanese • Excellent written communication and ability to explain legal reasoning precisely • Strong attention to legal accuracy, analytical consistency, and detail • Ability to work independently against structured rubrics and deadlines • Experience reviewing sophisticated legal research or written legal analysis is highly valued • Ability to comply with confidentiality and NDA requirements • Must not use confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, law firm, institution, or other third party
