• Complete administrative technical reviews of residential appraisals for consumer lines of business • Review requests in CMS, YouConnect, and outside sources • Review appraisal documents and request revisions from AMCs • Communicate review results to internal customers and collateral underwriters • Evaluate valuation providers, credit-level valuation reports, monitoring, loan production methodologies, and valuation differences • Complete non-complex and complex residential assignments • Manage Exclusionary List meetings • Ensure reviews meet regulatory and USPAP requirements • Coordinate and provide training for review appraisers • Provide subject matter expertise on quality, regulatory, and investor issues • Participate in AMC meetings with RERG Vendor Management • Maintain knowledge of Empower, ACAPS, and CMS • Escalate quality concerns and track them in the Appraisal Management Company Issue Log • Review Upgrade and Reconsideration of Value requests • Reconcile original appraisals with Field Reviews • Support Consumer Lending Risk Management and Real Estate Lending Appraisal Group policy development • Communicate regulatory and industry changes to staff • Maintain productive relationships with team members and third-party vendors • Comply with the Corporate code of conduct
• State Certified residential real estate appraiser license required • Minimum 5–7 years of consumer residential real estate experience required • Minimum 5–7 years of appraisal review experience • Strong attention to detail and quality focus • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve difficult appraisals • Ability to build working relationships across the bank and with third-party vendors • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel or similar database reporting programs • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines • Analytical and communication skills • Preferred bachelor’s degree or other advanced degrees/designations; additional appraisal experience could offset lack of such degree • Working knowledge of Fifth Third Collateral guidelines • Knowledge of USPAP, FIRREA, applicable regulations, bank regulatory agencies, professional trade organizations, and The Appraisal Foundation • Working knowledge of Empower, ACAPS, and CMS
