📋 Description

• Design, build, and own automated security control monitoring • Write production-quality code under version control, peer review, and CI/CD • Convert manual, periodic control testing to continuous control monitoring • Engineer self-service technical evidence collection in AWS • Eliminate screenshot-based and ticket-driven evidence collection • Redesign GRC processes using LLMs and agentic workflows with human review and guardrails • Maintain a normalized control library crosswalked across ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, SOX, GDPR, and NIST • Build automated control-failure detection, enrichment, ticketing, routing, SLA tracking, remediation verification, closure, exception, and risk acceptance workflows • Partner with Platform Engineering, DevOps, and IT to implement preventive guardrails and secure-by-default infrastructure • Create control health dashboards covering automation coverage, evidence freshness, failures, remediation time, and audit readiness • Lead internal and external audits using automated evidence • Execute complex control tests and third-party and operational security risk assessments • Develop risk treatment plans and validate remediation through automated re-testing • Review and guide other GRC Engineers' automation, queries, and test logic • Administer GRC technology, integrations, API-based data flows, and user enablement • Mature security governance, training, and awareness programs • Maintain GRC documentation, playbooks, runbooks, dashboards, and controlled security documents • Execute quarterly individual Key Results supporting team OKRs

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience being part of a GRC or similar team • 2+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining automation • Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language, Python preferred • Comfort working in Git, code review, and CI/CD • Hands-on AWS experience with Config, Security Hub, CloudTrail, IAM, Organizations and SCPs, Lambda, EventBridge, S3/Athena, and CloudWatch • Experience retrieving, normalizing, and reconciling data across systems via APIs and SQL • Practical experience applying LLMs or AI agents to real workflows, including prompt and workflow design, output evaluation, human review, and guardrails • Experience with security tools and cloud environments, including GRC and compliance automation platforms, vulnerability scanners, SIEM, SOAR, and AWS • Experience with industry frameworks, regulations, and standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, PCI, SOX, and NIST • Ability to determine sufficient audit evidence and defend automated control testing and system-generated evidence to auditors • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills • Preferred: experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, OPA/Rego, AWS Config custom rules, cfn-guard, continuous control monitoring at scale, API-based GRC integrations, internal self-service tooling, Big 4 or similar experience • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a related field • Highly desirable: CISSP, CISM, GIAC, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, CCSK, or CCSP
