📋 Description

• Engineer, configure, integrate, and sustain cybersecurity tools supporting detection, prevention, vulnerability management, configuration management, and compliance • Develop tool implementation plans, configuration standards, operating procedures, and technical documentation • Integrate tool data with security operations, asset-management, ticketing, reporting, and continuous-monitoring processes • Analyze tool performance, coverage gaps, alerts, and data quality; recommend improvements • Support upgrades, testing, troubleshooting, and operational handoff of security-tool capabilities • Support the Department of Veterans Affairs COSE program, which safeguards VA systems, data, and mission delivery

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant technical experience • Five or more years of cybersecurity tool engineering, security operations, systems administration, or related technical experience • Hands-on experience with one or more tool categories such as SIEM, vulnerability management, endpoint detection and response, identity management, security configuration management, or GRC platforms • Experience integrating tools, analyzing security data, and documenting technical configurations and procedures • Strong troubleshooting, automation, and technical documentation skills • Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
