📋 Description

• Serve as owning adjuster when injury exposures are identified • Manage claims through conclusion, including trial, for litigated claims • Handle complex first- and third-party auto liability injury cases • Handle first-party medical payment and PIP claims as needed • Manage, investigate and negotiate claims • Collaborate with defense counsel to identify negotiation strategy • Provide direction and settlement authority to defense counsel • Manage defense costs and indemnity • Represent the organization at mediations and settlement conferences by phone, video or in person • Make coverage determinations and advise customers on coverage issues • Conduct complex investigations, including interviewing witnesses and analyzing medical records and other evidence • Decide whether an independent medical examination is warranted • Direct defense counsel on litigated and non-litigated claims • Appear at and represent insureds at arbitrations and trials as needed • Provide deposition testimony as needed • Evaluate and resolve defense counsel fees and costs • Evaluate subrogation potential and initiate notice of subrogation requests • Make settlement decisions within authority and develop negotiation strategies • Present cases to committees when seeking authority above settlement limits • Develop and present executive claim summaries to external clients and internal executives • Handle commercial products including auto, fleet, last-mile delivery and trucking • Handle claims across geographic venues and vehicle types • Apply insurance program agreements and claim service level agreements • Mentor, train and coach other adjusters • Participate in company culture activities, employee resource groups and volunteering • Travel as needed for team, divisional and other in-person meetings • Support business needs, including helping other teams and investing additional time when necessary

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of claims experience • 3+ years of experience in a Casualty claims role within the P&C insurance industry • Minimum of 1 year in a Sr. Casualty role or equivalent Complex Casualty / Litigation experience • BA/BS in business, insurance or related area, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Must hold an Adjuster license for all applicable states or obtain license(s) within 90 days of filling position as a condition of employment • 6+ years of Casualty claims adjuster experience • 3+ years of experience in a Commercial claims role • Proficiency or ability to obtain proficiency in handling minor, moderate and complex litigated claims • Ability to work remotely anywhere in the United States except Hawaii and Alaska • Must have authorization to work indefinitely in the US • Mobilitas does not provide visa sponsorship • Bilingual ability is a plus
