• Oversee the management of multiple projects • Manage client needs and expectations to ensure projects meet scope, requirements, and deliverables on time and at high quality • Perform medical audit production work alongside project management • Maintain department audit standards, clinical documentation standards, protocols, and guidelines • Review auditor work for accuracy and provide written and verbal feedback • Audit medical records to validate clinical documentation supporting evaluation and management services, ancillary services, procedures, and diagnoses • Research regulatory guidelines for supporting documentation • Prepare audit summary findings with detailed comments and recommendations • Support department key performance indicators and service-level goals • Expand knowledge across functional areas and upskill to support evolving organizational and client needs • Identify process improvement opportunities and support workflow and operational enhancements • Prepare oral and written reports of client and audit activity for the Manager • Meet regularly with the Manager to review performance, mentoring, and succession planning
• Extensive healthcare industry knowledge and experience in coding, billing, auditing, compliance, and reimbursement for physician practices • Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 • Extensive coding experience in multiple specialties • Extensive knowledge of AMA, OIG, CMS, and other national coding and compliance guidelines • Minimum five years performing medical auditing for multiple specialties • CPC®, CPMA™ or RHIT certification • Experience serving as a client point of contact and providing expert audit advice and recommendations • Experience developing and delivering training materials, PowerPoint presentations, webinars, and reports for physicians, management, and coders • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Detail-oriented and deadline-driven • Critical-thinking and task-prioritization ability • Ability to multitask with a sense of urgency • Strong organizational skills and work ethic • Proficiency in Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to sit and use a keyboard and mouse for long periods • Ability to meet and maintain department production and quality standards • Legally authorized to work in the United States
