📋 Description

• Provide technical onsite and offsite support and expertise in response to site work requests • Perform installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair of ABB Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) • Carry out preparatory work regarding spare parts, testing of tools and equipment, and required documentation • Submit detailed and comprehensive service reports in a timely manner and follow up when needed • Coordinate activities with related groups to achieve objectives efficiently and ensure customer satisfaction • Communicate and present information to top management, customers, vendors, and other employees • Contribute feedback regarding product quality issues to reduce warranty costs • Work under the direction of the Drives Service Manager and report to the East Region Lead - Drive Services • Support the Motion Service division in the US

🎯 Requirements

• Associate degree in technical field and 3 years of relevant experience or High school diploma/GED and 5 years of relevant experience or military education/experience required • Valid driver’s license • Authorization to work in the United States • Ability to communicate with all levels in the organization, from field technicians to senior management • Ability to read, write, and speak English • Ability to travel 70% of time • Experience with Medium Voltage drives and power electronics preferred • Knowledge of motors, transformers, switchgear, and industrial communication protocols preferred • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and technical documentation preferred • Previous Field Service experience preferred • Ability to work at heights, in varying weather conditions, and around energized systems • Safety awareness and professionalism
