📋 Description

• Provide technical onsite and offsite support and expertise for site work requests • Perform installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repair of ABB Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) • Prepare spare parts, test tools and equipment, and complete required documentation • Submit detailed and comprehensive service reports in a timely manner and follow up when needed • Coordinate activities with related groups to achieve objectives and ensure customer satisfaction • Communicate with top management, customers, vendors, and other employees • Provide feedback on product quality issues to reduce warranty costs • Work hands-on with advanced equipment in industrial settings, including at heights, in varying weather conditions, and around energized systems

🎯 Requirements

• Associate degree in technical field and 3 years of relevant experience or High school diploma/GED and 5 years of relevant experience or military education/experience required • Valid driver’s license • Authorization to work in the United States • Ability to communicate with all levels in the organization, from field technicians to senior management • Ability to read, write, and speak English • Ability to travel 70% of the time • Experience with Medium Voltage drives and power electronics preferred • Knowledge of motors, transformers, switchgear, and industrial communication protocols preferred • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and technical documentation preferred • Previous Field Service experience preferred
