📋 Description

• Provide clinical and strategic support to the Clinical Affairs Organization, focusing on business-unit technologies and therapy areas • Drive clinical trial acceleration and patient enrollment to influence study timelines and new technology approval timelines • Develop relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) • Lead new clinical site launches • Identify new clinical research partners and develop strategic research partnership plans within the territory • Act as primary point of contact for clinical trial sites • Drive patient enrollment and ensure study milestones are met • Increase KOL engagement across study committees, publications, and congress presentations • Manage multi-cultural, multi-country relationships with customers and cross-functional internal teams • Collaborate with commercial leadership and other business units • Manage new site launches and lead internal and investigator debriefs • Identify and develop new clinical research sites for future clinical trials and early feasibility studies • Manage territory priorities, scheduling, forecasting, and strategic planning • Lead clinical projects as an integral member of core teams • Lead knowledge transfer between clinical and commercial teams to support business-unit goals and new product launches • Maintain technical-support and troubleshooting competency for clinical research procedures involving Abbott technologies • Participate in presentations, advisory boards, and special projects • Mentor and support FCS staff, with opportunity for direct-report management

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, biological sciences, or a related field, OR equivalent or related experience in cardiology or clinical research • 9 or more years of progressively more responsible relevant clinical work experience in the cardiovascular field • Recognized nationally as a leader/expert in the field • Ability to travel up to 50%, including possible international travel • Experience engaging with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and managing clinical research sites • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Ability to manage challenging conversations with multi-country, multi-cultural physicians and cross-functional partners • Strong project management skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a territory • Leadership potential and experience in mentoring or people-management
